Who NOT To Listen To For Bodybuilding and Physique Advice

Man oh man, has the fitness industry changed a ton over the past decade plus that I have been in this game, and in my opinion it has not been for the better. For starters, every fucking person is a trainer now aren’t they? “I’ve been working out for a month and played football in HS, and I know how to do a set of bicep curls so I can go train a guy to lose 40 lbs, keep it off all the while fixing his teres minor imbalance in his shoulder contributing to his upper back pain!” Ummmmm, no you fucking cant so shut the fuck up!!!!!

I am not saying that I know everything, but I can humbly say that I know quite a bit in regards to building a good physique and correcting your imbalances all while keeping you in this for the long haul. A big problem with modern day fitness is that it is so mainstream and readily available online that people often confuse themselves and don’t know whats true and what’s not. When it comes to looking at information and deciding if you want to work with a coach/trainer or just take advice from someone you need to look at a few things as well as avoid taking advice from certain groups. So below I am going to list a few groups to avoid taking advice from, not trying to put anyone down, just trying to save y’all some of the headaches with modern day fitness/nutrition.

  1. Those that have not been there and done it!!!! Look, I get that not everyone is trying to look like a Greek god, but for fuck sake if you are going to tell me to eat this, not that and how to progress you better walk the talk and have been in the fucking shoes. Everything I write about, especially anabolics, is based on REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE, not just some arm chair scientific data bullshit data that was only applied on a small group of people (that you don’t even fall in!!!!!) When someone is going to give advice on how to lean out and they don’t have a look I admire, sorry but I ain’t gonna listen to you!!! You haven’t walked the walk and understand that getting lean af is FUCKING HARD!!!!!!!!! It’s hard, and I will not make any bones about that. Someone who got certified over a weekend is not going to understand that fact, especially if they haven’t been there themselves!! NEXT!!!

  2. THE PERFECT FORM SCIENCE BASED TRAINER!!! Now I am not going to down right say forget science, but I will say science isn’t going to pertain to those looking to be above average. Do you really think that trying to get to 200 plus lbs in single digit body fat was built by tracking every macro, and measuring out every gram of rice in the beginning? FUCK NO. you need calories above all else and need to go to extreme measures to get there, and that completely goes against science!!!!! Do reps need to be perfect when your trying to build some massive strength and size in the beginning? Nope, just lift heavy AF and EAT A LOT OF FOOD. Now after your years and years into this, that’s when you can fine tune more of a science based apporach, but until that time ignore the science guru. And chances are the science guru isn’t nearly 200 lbs lean at below 5’9 lol, because getting to that level is not what science is about!!!

  3. THE KETO PREACHER!!!! This one right here should have you running for the hills, and for good reason. I have never on earth seen a guy that is big AF, and strong as an ox doing a KETO DIET!!!! NEVER IN MY FUCKING LIFE!!! Sorry, but your body needs carbs, and a lot more than you think, to build muscle and recover from training. The only exception to this rule is if you are dieting for a bodybuilding contest and are a few weeks out looking to get insanely conditioned, than yes we may need to completely forgo carbs to strip that last little bit of fat off. But for the vast majority of guy and girls, KETO SUCKS AND DOES NOT WORK LONG-TERM!!! Try it for a extended period of time and tell me if you look good, and can sustain that for the long-haul. YOU CAN’T!!!!!

So there you have my top 3 categories of people in the gym or online to stay away from! This will save you a lot of headache and confusion in the long run. Over and out!!
